Adam Starkey is the founder and CEO of Green Gourmet.  He launched the company straight from university, with financial backing from his family and a grant from the Prince’s Trust.  Adam has recently been appointed to the board of the School Food Trust.

If he is not working you will find him trying to grow cabbages in his vegetable garden.

Julie joined Green Gourmet in February 2008 after completing a short period of consultancy with the company. She brings a wealth of foodservice experience to Green Gourmet, from the perspective of operator, manufacturer and distributor.
 
In her spare time, Julie loves to be out walking in the beautiful Cotswold countryside.

Since joining in 1998 Neil has progressed up through the ranks, becoming the Sales Director in 2005. Neil’s foresight and passion has helped double company turnover in 3 years.

A local footballing celebrity, he regularly features in the sports section of our local paper. When work and football commitments allow Neil loves to spend time with his young family.

After spending 2 years working as Green Gourmet's account manager for the Midlands, South West and Wales, Barry now heads up the company's marketing activities. Recent projects include running 14 nationwide seminars specifically geared to supporting school meals caterers.

Outside of work, Barry is an active member of a number of local sports clubs.

Martyn has been with Green Gourmet for over two years and his efforts have been recently rewarded with the step up to National Account Manager. He now looks after a large part of England and North Wales, from Anglesey to Grimsby.

In his spare time, Martyn is a budding badminton coach and the company's resident film memorabilia expert.

With more than 10 year's experience working with education customers, Nicky is our National Account Manager, responsible for Scotland and the North East of England.

Paul, with many years experience in foodservice, joined the Green Gourmet team in April 2008.  Well known in the education sector, he has joined as National Account Manager,responsible for the South of England and Wales.

Rachel is a Registered Nutritionist of many years experience. She runs the Nutrition Services department providing advice on menu planning, recipe development and all things nutritional. She likes to get ‘out and about’ meeting our young customers at tasting sessions and visiting authorities at their place of work.

She also has just started a series of nutrition training courses. Out of the office she is kept busy by her three boys and the odd game of tennis.

Christine’s role is much more than a PA to the Sales Director; she also supports our sales team of four, and is responsible for the smooth running of the sales office.

Chris, who joined Green Gourmet in November 2005, loves spending her weekends catching up with her two grown up children or away on the coast in her caravan.

Geoff has been with the company since 2001 and works in the operations department. His main responsibilities are dealing with orders and stock reconciliation.

You can find him every Saturday on the terraces of Forest Green Rovers FC.

  Technical

Sharon, with over 20 years technical and product development experience in major food manufacturers, has the challenge of translating the ideas dreamed up by our chef and school cooks across the land into a result that looks and tastes the same but can be made by the million!!

She works very closely with all our suppliers to ensure we get the products everyone wants, made to the highest specifications for hygiene, food safety and traceability.

Having two growing boys she has no problem finding guinea pigs to taste the new products and can’t get away from working with schools, even outside of work, as she is Treasurer on the PTA for her boys school.

With a degree in chemistry and 8 years with the company now under his belt, Gavin is a food technology expert. He plays a key role in the company's new product development and recipe design. To keep him on his toes, he often attends industry events and school cooking demonstrations.

He is a bit of a wine connoisseur and on summer days enjoys nothing more than getting out in the country on his superbike (sober of course).

Alistair is responsible for all of the company's quality systems and, in particular, monitoring the performance of our co-suppliers.  He has spent many years in the food industry helping to install and operate quality systems and has also been involved in several product development projects, especially with M&S suppliers.
 
Away from work he enjoys mountaineering in the Lake District, Scotland and occasionally aboard.

Rob is responsible for various projects within the Technical Department including reviewing and managing the company’s quality management systems and working with the fish co processors and suppliers on quality issues, MSC and IUU requirements.
 
Despite his short hair, he is a bit of a hippy at heart. He owns 1972 VW Camper Van which he uses to go surfing and ‘wild camping’ in.

Tony is very well known in the fish industry having spent the last 40 years sourcing fish products.  He has known Green Gourmet from almost the start of business, firstly through his own Fish Trading Company and then joined Green Gourmet 7 years ago after selling the trading company.
 
When not working he can be found on his boat "Hogwash"; yes, you've guessed it, fishing.
