Green Gourmet Mission Statement:
To be the best at food innovation. Most responsive, most creative and the most trusted.

Who are we?

Green Gourmet creates dynamic and healthy eating food brands and supplies a large range of Farm Assured and Red Tractor Accredited meat, poultry, Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) and Marine Conservation Society (MCS) fish, vegetarian, organic, gluten free and bakery products for the food service markets.

Green Gourmet’s mission is placed firmly in the context of our relationships with customers. Our unique business model and food product innovation has been refined so that it enables the company to live and breathe a genuine customer centric positioning.

Meet The Team

We are a small team of passionate, driven and caring people committed to sourcing the best ingredients and delivering innovative solutions to our customers!  We live and breathe food, good quality ingredients, British produce and provenance - meet our foodie family!

We are committed to providing a great place to work that is fun, energised and supportive and are always looking for people who can bring ambition, initiative and new ideas to our fantastic team based in Stonehouse.

What do we do?

The Green Gourmet portfolio of food brands builds its reputation on award winning foundations.
With our roots in school catering, Green Gourmet services education catering, local authorities, elderly care and contract catering companies with our Choice for Life brand.
We work with our customers by helping them to produce healthy recipes and support them to increase the amount of locally and sustainably sourced British food produce served on menus to achieve accreditation and certification of food standards.

Green Gourmet has also built on the core business by diversifying into the travel and leisure catering market, with our Source Foods brand in the buy on board and complimentary catering market. We offer healthy eating and innovative ideas for a variety of foodservice challenges – such as working with international airlines to overcome the on-board challenge of delivering crispy, 'toasties’ and hot sandwiches to airline passengers,

Green Gourmet’s products have been served on British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, Thomson, Monarch and Qantas and are also exported for service to seven countries outside of the UK.

How do we do it??

As well as designing our food products in our development kitchen, we work with food suppliers to source the raw materials and ingredients, administer production at our partner BRC accredited manufacturing sites and manage the marketing and distribution of our food products to sites all over the UK and further afield.

Our Values

Everything we do is underpinned by four core values that our teams demonstrate every day to work effectively together and deliver to our customers.

  • Embrace Change
  • Encourage Freedom to Act
  • Develop Trust
  • Be Responsive

Being part of our team means that you will always be looking for new and innovative ways of working.  We’ll ensure you know exactly what is expected of you and where the business is headed so that you can have freedom to work to your very best throughout your career with us.  We commit to always build trust so that we can be relied upon by our customers and colleagues and that allows us to be responsive to the needs of everyone we interact with.  We have an employee charter that outlines these ways of working and we ask everyone to sign up to this when they join.

What do you get in return?

Our people are at the heart of everything we do, and we do our best to ensure everyone can balance work and life effectively. Working as part of our team you will have a clear set of objectives aligned to both our business and your personal career goals. If you are looking for career progression, we will work with you to outline a PDP that supports your development.

Day to day we offer an environment that is challenging and fun. We have a games room complete with table tennis and basketball so that you can take time during the day to unwind and we all love a bit of healthy competition.

We know how important a healthy team is and we look to support everyone to maintain a good work/life balance. Our flexible approach and generous holiday allowance aim to encourage our people to look after themselves and their families. In addition, you will be entitled to 2 wellbeing days each year, this provides you with 2 extra days paid leave on top of your holiday allowance to recharge when needed.

We provide free fruit and veg for healthy snacks during the day, alongside a fridge packed full of our products so you’ll never go hungry! If you have a sweet tooth, we have some fantastic bakers who often bring in a treat or two.
